Case study: reduced CO2 emissions at the Ostend-Bruges airport

Terralys LF57/57 was installed over 160.000m² of runway at Ostend airport. The woven geotextile was selected over the conventional method of applying 10cm of gravel to strengthen the asphalt structure. We analyzed the reduction in carbon impact on multiple levels:

  • Raw material: polypropylene (PP) vs. polyester (PET) granulate
