We provide woven ground cover for a wide range of design functions:

Weed control

Optimize conditions for plants and crops to thrive: weed control fabric blocks the light, but allows water and air to permeate. This disrupts the growth of competing weeds. Additionally, herbicides and weed killers are no longer needed.

Benefits:
  • Environmentally friendly
  • Eliminate the need for herbicides & weed killers
  • Improved growth conditions
  • Avoid harmful diseases
  • Enhanced soil water retention
  • Easy to install

Green technology for sustainable container fields

Terrazza MC and Beaulieu Technical Textiles partner together and create sustainability in the field of groundcover maintenance at tree and plant nurseries.

The products and service both companies provide to nurseries are complementary. They are taking a new step towards making tree nurseries even more sustainable.

Beaulieu's RECOVER, the new, sustainable ground cover with recycled content, and the Terrazza Geotex PRO machine are the important pioneers in the sustainable partnership. The first RECOVER groundcover has been installed at tree nursery Willy De Nolf.

Beaulieu Agrotextiles’ carbon footprint

This value is the result of a Life CycleAssessment (LCA) calculations on woven agrotextiles Agrolys BL100, produced by Beaulieu Technical Textiles.

We have considered the Beaulieu Technical Textiles value chain from cradle-to-gate and determined how many emissions are produced by which activity, going from the supply of raw materials and our own production to the use-phase and end-of-life.

The analysis was performed in line with EN 15804:2012+A2 (environmental product declarations of construction works), ISO 14040/14044:2006 (requirements and guidelines for life cycle assessment), and the PEF guidelines by the European Commission.

Woven agrotextiles contribute towards a more sustainable world

To meet the world's food needs, reduce poverty, lower agriculture's environmental effect, and combat climate change, more food (or the same) must be produced with less - less land, less water, fewer inputs and resources.

The market for high-quality, long-lasting, and environmentally friendly agrotextiles will expand as a contributor to increased productivity and more environmentally friendly agriculture and food systems.
